Bucket list ’25 update #4 | VIP at a concert

Posted on August 29 2025 by Katja in Bucket List / 0 Comments

Let’s see how I take on my adventures and creative 2025 bucket list!

This year’s bucket list might sound/read more like a goallist. But hear me out! From the summer of 2023 till autumn 2024 I was very restricted in what I could do. In case you are new here on the blog… Hi! I changed my last name. This was a long process from start to finish and there were many things I couldn’t do in that time just because the name change news could drop any minute and I would have to do a lot (A LOT) of administration. Like renewing my passport, driver license and many more things.

Anyway, you can imagine that I had to hold off on a lot of dreams and goals. So 2025 is going to be the year that I do things that make me feel free or finally be able to enjoy my private time again. Also, I am not going to lie, there is still a lot of unknown about my future this year. This is in regards to my business and where I might be living later in the upcoming months. My business will go international this year (whoop, whoop!) and I am planning on moving. Will I be immigrating or will I be a nomad again? Only time will tell. Right now I am simply enjoying life again and everything on this bucket list are things to make me fall in love with life a little more day by day.

1. Doing something every month that makes me feel alive
When I basically couldn’t leave the house for months on end, you probably understand this year I want to make it my mission to do something fun every month. Something that makes me feel alive. This could be anything! Going on holiday, concerts, trying out something new… you name it.

In the blog “Bucket list ’25 update #1 | London, concert & writing” I go into depth about the first two months.

January: London, baby!

February: Going to a concert.

In the blog “Bucket list ’25 update #2 | Leipzig, storytelling & writing” I go into depth about the third and fourth month of the year.

March: Leipzig Book Fair.

April: Created a new company.

In the blog “Bucket list ’25 update #3 | French & Rebirthday” I go into depth about the fifth and sixth month of the year.

May: A2 level in French!

June: Celebrated my Rebirthday.

NEW

July: Being VIP at a concert

This was truly an amazing experience! I hoped that one day I could be in the financial situation that I could afford to go to a concert as a VIP. With lots of hard work I managed to do so. Not only that… I was VIP at the very first Stray Kids concert in the Netherlands! Getting to see them in my home country was the cherry on top.
You can read about my time here and see a bit of the experience for yourself over here.

August: Made (long term) future plans

As of right now I don’t feel comfortable to share yet what this means, but yes I did make some pretty big (aka life-altering) decisions. And I have already been working on them. You might be able to guess what is about to come next if you are a long time blogreader.

2. Finish my manuscript
During my last update I mentioned that I hoped to write lots of scenes in the next two months, well.. I did not do much of those. I was mainly working on the structure of the book. I worked out a lot of settings. By each step I see the story grow which makes me not mind that I didn’t write actual scenes. I think the beauty in my story is the flow that will be filled with some twists and turns. That’s why I think the actual scene writing should come later. While setting everything up I got the chance to meet and understand the characters even more and I have been surprised with who they shaped to be. I do hope to write lots of scenes in the next two months. I am not going to push myself to write a certain number, since I am currently also working on other projects.

Honestly, I don’t have much to add to the last update you can read above. Again I was more engrossed in other projects these two months then that I got a lot of writing done. But… I ended up writing 3.000 words and I figured out certain structures of the book that I was struggling with before. Actually I wrote much more than the 3.000 words, however they don’t have a place yet in the manuscript. It are just a few scenes I know could be perfect for the story, but I am not entirely sure if it will make it to the final stage. I personally think it is important to write way more than you might end up with. It are just nice writing exercises to get to know the setting, characters, etc. And sometimes those exercises do end up in a way in the final product.

3. Explore my storytelling
In the last few years there have been so many life changing things in my life. Both bad and good. I want to explore how this impacted my storytelling, grow with it and learn new things. I’ve been having such a blast with videography, but there is still so much to learn. However, storytelling is also writing, this blog, my business and many more things. This is an adventure that amazes me each day.

During the last update I thought I was going to do something with social media over the last two months. Well, I didn’t. I was busy with storytelling but in a completely other way, like writing, work projects and even in my private life.
But my plan for September is to do a 30 day challenge and post every day on Instagram. I am going to start planning this weekend to figure out how I am going to manage to do all that and what I want to post.

4. Staying in a castle
Depending on how long you’ve been following this blog, you probably know all the unique places I’ve lived. From an estate to a museum. So the next logical step seems to me to stay at a castle, right?

Still not yet. [insert cry face]

5. Become a polyglot
Let’s go! At the end of last year I joined a language learning community. It has been amazing to get to know like minded people all over the world and helping each other with language goals. It’s fun to share experiences and tips on learning. Studying languages brings me so much joy! Over the last few years it even helped me with exploring my storytelling when it comes down to writing.

Korean and German were my main focus. From speaking, learning vocab to grammar. I love these two languages a lot and I am seeing improvements, but there is also still work left to do. Can’t wait to explore even more so in the next two months.

Conclusion – My 2025 bucket list
A list filled with joy, learning and exploring. And I have been very active in achieving all these goals. There are still four months left of this year and I am very excited to keep on working on these dreams. I don’t have that many plans for the next two months, but I am ecstatic nonetheless and who knows… maybe I will go on a new adventure!

How is it going with your bucket list?

Love,
