My small vinyl collection | Autumn ‘25

Just a blog to record my current and small vinyl collection.

So why did I start collecting vinyl? Well I always thought vinyls are cool, but I did lean to CD’s since they are small and it is a lot easier to have a good stereo than a record player. As of right now, my plans of collecting aren’t big. There are just a few artists I am planning on collecting for various reasons. So let’s get into those reasons with each vinyl I have so far in my collection!

BlackPink – Born Pink
Pink Vinyl
My very first vinyl! When my mom, yes she was the one to instigate, wanted to change up my room and asked me what kind of room I wanted, I knew I wanted a music room. My room has always been a reflection of the workfield I was in. Even though I adore my work and books, books are also my job… Hi! In case you’re new here, I have worked for well over a decade in publishing. So I wanted a space that reflects part of my personality that has not much to do with work. Getting creative with vinyls seemed like a cool next step and when I saw this beautiful edition of Born Pink the pink vinyl for only 12,50 euros I was sold.

Taylor Swift – The Tortured Poets Department
The Manuscript, White Vinyl, Special Edition
Taylor Swift was the very first artist I connected with on another level ever since I was a teenager. Her writing felt like letters from an older sister. This album dropped in the same month my mom and I redecorated my room, so it felt like the perfect fit.

Olivia Rodrigo – GUTS
Celebrate ONE YEAR of GUTS, Marbled Silver Vinyl, Limited Edition
Rodrigo’s poprock music is some of my favorite music! I like that she didn’t go for the synthmusic most pop girlies went for in this decade. I love that she goes her own way and I simply can’t get enough of her incredible smart storytelling. One of my favourite songs of hers is the one she wrote for the movie “The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes”. The way how this song is written tells a story in itself, a song that digs deep into the history of the books the movies are based on.

Stray Kids – Karma
Clear Sapphire Vinyl
This is the Kids their very first vinyl they dropped, and as a big fan of the group I wanted to get it. As it turned out this is one of my favourite albums of theirs and I love the cover! I also enjoyed the poster and the group photocard that came with the album.

Le Sserafim – EASY-CRAZY-HOT
Silver White Vinyl, Special Vinyl
While Le Sserafim is currently on tour that has the same name as this album, they dropped the vinyl kind out of nowhere, but you don’t hear me complain. Okay, maybe I did when I was sent a different version than the one I ordered. There are two versions that came out, this one and one with a sleek black and white design. I gravitated immediately towards the silver one since it has the girls on the cover. Luckily I got the right version a week later.

Laufey – A Matter of Time
Butter Yellow Vinyl, Exclusive Edition
In the US this is the Barnes and Nobles version, but for the rest of the world it is known as the Butter Yellow Edition. It took me quite long to decide which edition I wanted for myself, it was between this one or the Standard aka the 3am Edition. But once I saw some clips of the current world tour I knew I had to get the Butter Yellow Edition because of the stage layout and the poster that comes along with the album matches the theme. Also I wanted to get this vinyl in general because I am going to the tour as a VIP and I just have so many ideas to create a music shelf afterwards to remember the concert by. Can you tell I am already excited?

Pre order

Soon these vinyls will be on their way to my house.

Taylor Swift – The Life Of A Showgirl
The Crowd Is Your King Edition, Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl, Exclusive Edition
I am sooo happy I was able to get this album version. When the different vinyl variants were slowly dropping I was patiently waiting until the pink one did. I actually missed out on this vinyl until someone I know told me they were still available on the French TS merch website. I grabbed one for me and my friend and can’t wait for this one to arrive.

The Last Dinner Party – From The Pyre
Green Glow In The Dark Alt Cover Vinyl
Well as if I didn’t already listen to enough musical genres, I am also throwing this artist in the mix. All jokes aside, even though my favourite artists are in the popscene, I actually prefer the sound of indie and rock. The Last Dinner Party are known for their conceptual works and their Artrock and Barokpop sounds.

So that’s it for now with my small vinyl collection. Do you collect music? If yes, which kind do you prefer: CD’s or vinyl?

Love,
