The love I have for books hasn’t been much on display on this blog recently, so here we go!
This is my top 5 spring releases. We got fantasy, romance, sci-fi and much more! I am excited for all these books. Either to read them physically or listen to them as audiobooks.
Sunrise on the Reaping – Suzanne Collins

This book is a few days shy of actually being a spring release, but I am so excited for a new Hunger Games installment that I had to put this one in this list. I loved Collins her last release, it was so philosophical and as a Philosophy major in uni I was impressed by her use of many philosophers in her own work. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to crack the code and fit them all in one story.

I have a confession… Axie Oh is one of my instant buy authors. I don’t care what she writes about I just simply pick up her books and know I will be in for an adventure.

Did I hear romantasy with a gothic, mist-cloaked tale of a prophetess who is forced beyond the safety of her cloister on an impossible quest to defeat the gods with the one knight whose future is beyond her sight? Yeah? Well, okay that honestly sounds impressive. I NEED to read this!
Love in Focus – Lyla Lee

Lyla Lee is one of those authors whose books I always like to put on as audiobooks. Mostly when I am bullet journaling or drawing. Before I know it a day has passed, I coloured a lot and I finished another cute book.
Never Thought I’d End Up Here – Ann Liang

She’s forgotten most of her Mandarin, has zero regard for etiquette, and can’t hold a conversation with her own grandparents for longer than a minute. Their solution? Send her on an intensive two-week travel program across China’s most beautiful cities. To them, it’s the perfect opportunity for Leah to get back to her roots. To Leah, it’s simply a much-needed escape.
But before Leah can even begin to enjoy the luxurious hotels, stunning scenery, and mouth-watering cuisine, she finds that also on the trip is her former classmate and least favorite person cynical, sarcastic Cyrus, who’s somehow only gotten more annoyingly handsome since they last saw each other.
While Leah might be tempted to shove him off the peak of the Yellow Mountain when nobody’s looking, she can’t get rid of him just yet. After all, she might never get another chance to get revenge on the boy who ruined her life.
Yet the deeper they wander into China’s provinces, the deeper Leah finds herself falling in love – with the boy she once thought she despised, the home she never thought she’d call her own, and the parts of herself she thought were already lost.
Ann Liang is another author whose book I love to listen to, but maybe this time I will get around to getting myself a physical copy. It just sounds like this story would be so much fun to read. Also I absolutely love that we never know with this author what kind of genre she will put out. I am amazed how she rocks every genre.
