Net voor mijn vertrek naar Berlijn las ik The Silence of Bones. Helaas kreeg ik het boek net niet uitgelezen. Maar wat ik las vond ik super goed. De research die de auteur heeft gedaan om een deel van de geschiedenis van Korea te vertellen, heeft ze onwijs puur gedaan. Al schuwt ze ook zeker niet weg om het rauwe gedeelte te vertellen. Daarom kijk ik enorm uit naar haar nieuwst boek die in januari uit gaat komen.

Op mijn verjaardag ging ik langs de J-store en daar kocht ik deze prachtige manga. Het is zelfs een hardcover editie! Wel in het Duits, maar dat vind ik niet erg, want de hardcover editie is prachtig en het papier die ze hebben uitgekozen is van glossy papier. Daarnaast vind ik het meteen een leuke manier om mijn Duits te onderhouden, aangezien er nog veel vervolgdelen komen.
Kleine book haul
Omdat ik van te voren al wist dat ik ging reizen, wist ik dat dit een kleine book haul zou zijn. Ik had voordat ik weg ging bewust een abonnement genomen op Storytel zodat ik niet zou lopen te slepen met boeken, want dat vind ik echt zonde van de ruimte in mijn koffer. Een van de vele voordelen van de Airbnb waar ik tijdelijk woon is dat mijn host ook een echte lezer is en dat ik alle boeken mag pakken die op mijn kamer in de boekenkasten staan. Dus lees ik toch nog af en toe een fysiek boek in de tijd dat ik in Berlijn woon.
