Boeken en K-pop combineren klinkt al een goede combinatie! De volgende 5 boeken staan op de TBR van vele K-pop fans.

Onlangs verscheen bij uitgeverij Fontein dit boek en ik vind het erg tof dat ze het originele cover hebben overgenomen. Ik denk dat iedereen wel begrijpt waarom… natuurlijk vanwege de roze Dr. Martens! Haha, in ieder geval vind ik de inhoud van het boek leuk klinken.

Dit lijkt me een heel mooi boek met een ijzersterk onderwerp. De YouTuber Monica Kim raadde dit boek dan ook aan tijdens een van haar vlogs.

Zes jaar geleden werd ze gerekruteerd door een van de grootste K-poplabels van Seoel, dat een aantal van ’s werelds populairste sterren heeft voortgebracht. De regels zijn simpel: train 24/7. Wees perfect. Date niet. Makkelijk toch?
Helaas niet. Rachel begint zich af te vragen of ze wel sterk genoeg is om door te kunnen breken en niet gebroken zal worden door een industrie die erop gericht is om mooie meisjes te controleren en te commercialiseren. Vooral wanneer ze gevoelens krijgt voor K-popster Jason Lee. Hij is niet alleen charmant, sexy en belachelijk getalenteerd. Hij is ook de eerste die echt begrijpt hoe graag ze een ster wil worden.

De auteur, Jessica Jung, is voormalig zangeres van een van de meest invloedrijke K-popmeidengroepen aller tijden: Girls Generation. Heel anders dan K-pop Crush, aangezien dit boek door iemand is geschreven die daadwerkelijk in een K-pop groep heeft gezeten.

In dit boek speelt K-pop geen hoofdrol zoals in de andere boeken, maar ik heb ‘m wel genoemd omdat het over K-pop cosmetica gaat. Dit boek is nog niet verschenen, maar staat alvast op mijn wishlist.

Net als bovenstaande boek is dit boek ook nog niet verschenen. Nog even wachten tot de zomer! Ik vind het ergens wel passend dat het boek uitkomt in de zomer, dit boek lijkt me zo romantisch en dat vind ik erg passend bij het warme weer.
