Unboxing Stray Kids SKZHop Hiptape “合 (Hop)”

One copy was a pre-order and the other one I bought in Vienna. Let’s get to the unboxing!

On December 13 Stray Kids dropped a mixtape including their solo’s from their current DominATE Tour. Read here my (short) album review.
Earlier last year they came out with their ninth mini album ATE. An album that is tour proof and shows the strengths of all the members working together. ATE also sounds like the number eight. It was not a coincidence. Gotta love a group that loves playing with words just as much as I do! Currently they are in their midst of the dominATE tour and they finally let some of the songs shine from the tour on this mixtape and they even came up with a few new group songs!

The SKZHop Hiptape has many different versions of the album, but for convenience I will only discuss the standard albums. There is a regular version and a limited edition. Just like with previous albums I went for the limited edition, because as the name suggests it is limited and there are more things in it than in the regular version. But when I saw the photo’s drop for the regular version and also what came with that album… I just knew that I also wanted to get that version.

Back when I was still living in Vienna I bought at Thalia the regular version. A month before I even had left for Austria I placed a preorder at the Dutch webshop Kyeopta for the limited version.

First let’s talk about the regular version. The album feels like a throwback to the NoEasy era. From the looks of the album itself as the photoshoots. The sleeve contains a 60 page photobook and a folder filled with…

A CD on the left side and goodies on the other side.

For pre-order only I got a folded poster and the graphic sticker with this album. And in every album you can also find a sticker sheet.

The first mini poster came with the album and the second one also came with my album but I have no idea how. Maybe Thalia ordered it with a certain distributor? Well, I am really happy with it since the photo is high quality and I think I will frame it for my music shelves.
(Sorry for the blurry photo! Wintersun and making product photos is hard.)

Before I talk about photocards, I am going quickly over the limited version of the mixtape.

Different from the regular version, this album came with a 4-cuts photo.

With the mini poster you can probably tell that the vibe of the photoshoot for the limited version was really different.
The envelope contained a trading card set. In total there are 4 versions only available in the limited version of the album.
(Sorry for the blurry photo! Again, wintersun and making product photos is hard.)

Up top the trading card set, next the photocards from the limited album (1 unit, 1 member) and last but not least the photocards from the regular album (1 unit, 1 member).

Since this album is a mixtape I wasn’t expecting too much from the inclusions. But I do have to say that in terms of quality the team stepped up their game. I hope they will continue this path in the future to make these ticker and higher quality albums.

Love,
