YA en non-fictie maken mijn book haul aan het einde van deze twee maanden.

Van een vriend ontving ik dit boek vorige maand. Ik ben al wel in het boek begonnen, maar heb ‘m nog lang niet uit. Wel had er van mij in het verhaal nu al iets meer vaart mogen zitten, maar voor de rest vind ik het leuk om weer een boek van Nederlandse bodem te lezen, want dat doe ik niet zo heel vaak meer. Dit komt uiteraard ook omdat ik meer boeken lees in de talen of over de landen waarvan ik de talen bestudeer.

Steven haar boeken zijn mijn auto-buy. Ze komt altijd met iets nieuws en dat vind ik zo tof. Ze limiteert zich niet in welk genre ze schrijft en deze keer komt ze met een geheel nieuw genre.

Dit boek kocht ik bij het beroemde Daunt Books in Londen. Ik vind het heerlijk dat de boeken die ze daar verkopen volledig gericht zijn voor en over de reizende mens. Ik keek mijn ogen uit en had daar nog veel en veel meer tijd kunnen spenderen. Maar wegens beperkte ruimte wist ik dat ik niet al te veel boeken mee kon nemen, maar dit boek vond ik zo tof klinken dat ik meteen wist dat ik dit boek wilde meenemen.

We blijven nog even in het vrouwenfictie met het volgende boek die ik online kocht. Flowers of Fire stond al een tijdje op mijn wishlist nadat het werd aangeraden door een van mijn favoriete auteurs Axie Oh. Hopelijk kan ik het komende maand of op een ander moment deze zomer lezen.
